Digitization service

The main focus of digitization at the Österreichische Mediathek is on its own audiovisual holdings as well as on digitization orders within the framework of collaborations and projects.

Audio and video documents are digitized according to international standards for long-term archiving in a comprehensive, integrated overall system.

For resource reasons, only part of our ongoing digitization work can be commissioned. Please contact an audio or video studio of your choice for the production of digital copies for use (e.g. on CD, DVD or digital storage media).

If you are an institution, company or association interested in the professional digitization of your collection(s), please contact us. General statements about costs, duration or the fundamental possibility of digitizing audiovisual collections can only be made after a precise evaluation due to the necessary case-by-case analysis.
