A study hall with media workstations for viewing and listening to digital and analogue audio and video recordings is available to our users.

We are open Monday to Thursday from 12 pm to 6 pm and Friday from 10 am to 3 pm.

Your access to our archive

In the study hall, you have access to the entire archive of the Österreichische Mediathek, which contains around 2.5 million audio and video recordings on Austrian history, culture and science.
 

Free and uncomplicated

Our holdings are available for you to view and listen to on site free of charge. It is not necessary to register your visit or pre-order the desired media.

As a reference archive, we offer you the opportunity to use all digitised media directly on site. You can view holdings that have not yet been digitised in analogue form. It is not permitted to borrow our media.
