Tour through the Österreichische Mediathek

During a 90-minute tour, you will get to know different areas of the Österreichische Mediathek, learn about the history of our institution and the history of sound and video recording, get to know the rooms and staff of a media archive, and receive vivid background information on the digitisation and long-term archiving of audiovisual media sources.  
What does an audiovisual archive do? How can analogue and digital recordings be stored and their content preserved permanently? What kind of people work at the Österreichische Mediathek? How can the media from our collections be used?
